Cold/Flu Remedies

I am sick with a cold/flu. My usual TLC meal is jook, also known as congee. I make this thick porridge-like soup out of rice, broth, and ginger. It's very soothing and nutritious.

Here are some congee recipes:
Cooking Light's Rice Congee
Gourmet Magazine's Congee

What is your favorite cold/flu therapeutic meal?

*A BIG HUG FROM ME*...get well soon Alexa. For a cold, I give the kids honey with some turmeric powder (doesn't taste yuk), & for a cough, it's honey with black pepper. xoxoxo

Oh poor Alexa, feel better soon. My vote is for Jewish penicillin: chicken noodle soup- works for me every time

It is tomato soup for me Alexa or maybe a hot toddy! My tip is to take zinc all year round and that stops colds in their tracks!

I do hope you are feeling better soon

Alexa, I feel for you, because I'm still in recovery mode, 8 weeks after being hit by the flu.
I hope you're being catered by your loved ones. Lots of sympathy and good thoughts coming your way.
